Job Description
Our client is the world’s largest fertilizer company by capacity, producing the three primary crop nutrients – potash (K), phosphate (P), and nitrogen (N). As the world’s leading potash producer, we are responsible for about 20 percent of global capacity. With operations and business interests in seven countries, our client is an international enterprise and a key player in meeting the growing challenge of feeding the world. The Cincinnati location specializes in Industrial Phosphate products, including Phosphoric Acid and Potassium Phosphates. The Analytical Laboratory at this location is responsible for ensuring product quality, supporting operations, and analysis for environmental compliance. The major function of the lab is to perform testing on finished product batches to ensure that they are within specification and create a Certificate of Analysis for the customer. The lab also supports the company by providing research of new products or formulations as well as research for our customers.
ResponsibilitiesSupport a safe and clean work environment by abiding by all programs, policies, and instructions.Analyze daily production batches (phosphoric acid) for multiple product lines.Analyze process water for environmental monitoring.Record data in a LIMS system and create Certificates of Analysis.Operate and calibrate analytical testing equipment such as ICP, Color Meter, Density Meter, Nitrogen Analyzer, & Auto-Titrator.Assist Laboratory Supervisor with product research, process improvements, and method development.Work independently.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExposure and knowledge of basic laboratory skills such as titrations, weighing, pipetting, diluting, basic calculations, etc.Ability to use Microsoft Office and web-based email and internet.Additional Skills & QualificationsHands-on experience working in a laboratory environment.Proficient in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, including ICP, auto-titration systems, particle size analyzers, color meters, and density meters.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
