Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician for our Bake Lab. The Technician will be responsible for creating and baking dough to test the activity of yeast, such as rise, hardness, pressure, salt, and pH. Additionally, the Technician will be cross-trained in our Pathogen Lab to conduct tests for bacteria such as Salmonella.

ResponsibilitiesCreate and bake dough to test yeast activity including rise, hardness, pressure, salt, and pH levels.Conduct tests for bacteria such as Salmonella and other pathogens.Perform laboratory tests and operate laboratory equipment.Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and lab safety protocols.Maintain quality control and assurance standards.Perform wet chemistry and titration tasks.Work individually as needed to complete tasks.Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of test results.Essential SkillsDegree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.Previous experience with laboratory testing and equipment.Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Experience in microbiology, quality control, and analytical chemistry.Familiarity with lab safety and food manufacturing processes.Proficiency in lab testing and wet chemistry procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.Strong knowledge of quality assurance and titration.Experience with plating and lab equipment.Work Environment

The position is in a food laboratory within a 24/7 manufacturing plant. Lab Technicians work on rotating shifts: five days on, two days off each week. We are hiring for the following shifts: First shift: 7am-3:30pm, Second shift: 3pm-11pm, Third shift: 11pm-7:30am. Additionally, we need one part-time Technician for the First shift: 7am-3:30pm. The lab environment requires adherence to safety protocols and proper laboratory attire.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
