Lab Technician
Description • Run Metal testing and raw metals testing • Perform routine sample preparation and analysis of incoming and in-process materials including approval/rejection of material based on results of this testing. •Perform chemical analysis by using various laboratory instruments, including gravimetric, ICP, and XRF. •Perform metallurgical testing as required (i.e. micro-section preparation, hardness and mechanical property testing such as tensile and resistance) utilizing metallurgical equipment. •Provide direct feedback to Metal Casting operations, providing melt charge calculations for heat corrections to meet desired element target objectives. •Maintain laboratory records and databases. •Maintain good housekeeping and safe work habits in accordance with Lean and 5S •Prepare Certificate of Analysis for outgoing material. Skills sample testing, gmp, tensile testing, micrometer, media preparation, sample preparation, raw material Additional Skills & Qualifications • Associate degree in chemistry, biochemistry, Biology or Natural Science or equivalent Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.48 - $19.00/hr.
