Actalent is Hiring an Entry Level Lab Technician!!Job Description This position reports directly to the QC Supervisor and is primarily responsible for performing analytical testing, laboratory investigations, and analytical method transfers for an OTC drug manufacturing facility. The role also includes additional tasks as assigned by the QC Supervisor. Responsibilities + Perform raw material, in-process, and release testing using a variety of analytical techniques such as UV-Vis, IR, HPLC, GC, AA, titrations, and viscosity analysis. + Follow cGMP, USP, and 21CFR 210/211 requirements for laboratory testing and OOS investigations. + Apply technical knowledge of chromatography and bench chemistry. + Utilize good computer skills, including proficiency with Word and Excel; LIMS experience is a plus. + Apply basic statistics to compare data trends. + Effectively communicate verbally and in writing, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and team-building skills. + Exhibit excellent organizational, problem-solving, prioritizing, and follow-up skills. + Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science field. + Working knowledge of cGMPs as applicable to a laboratory environment. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Proficiency in problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis. + Knowledge of basic statistics. + Ability to read, write, and understand English. + Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. + Ability to verify numbers, words, and alphanumeric combinations across multiple mediums. + Willingness to work occasional off-shift and weekend hours. Work Environment This role is based in a laboratory environment within an OTC drug manufacturing facility that produces sunscreen and sun care products. The facility follows GMP guidelines and undergoes FDA audits. Flexibility to work some overtime and weekends is required / schedule is 2pm-10pm. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
