Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician/Chemist to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting various chemical analyses and tests to ensure the quality and compliance of our products. This role is essential in maintaining our high standards of product integrity and supporting our commitment to safety and innovation.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and specialized chemical analyses on petroleum products, including crude oil, refined products, and additives.Ensure all products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements through rigorous testing and analysis.Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.Accurately record and interpret test results, maintaining detailed and organized records of all analyses.Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Assist in research and development projects aimed at improving product quality and performance.Prepare and present detailed reports on test results and findings to the Laboratory Manager and other stakeholders.Work closely with other departments, including production and quality assurance, to address any issues related to product quality.Essential SkillsProficiency in using laboratory instruments and equipment, including gas chromatographs, spectrometers, and titrators.Strong understanding of chemical analysis techniques and petroleum product specifications.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and recording data.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within the petroleum industry. Education can count towards years of experience.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
