Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lab Technician to join our team. The primary responsibilities include monitoring chlorine levels, grading salt stock piles, conducting chemical analyses, and maintaining thorough documentation. This role requires collaboration with other lab technicians and adherence to quality control standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor chlorine levels.Grade daily salt stock piles and conduct inspections.Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.Conduct chemical analysis and wet chemistry procedures.Mix and test purity of chemical solutions.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Partner with other lab technicians during shift operations.Conduct quality control inspections of products, ensuring compliance with standards.Prepare chemical solutions according to formulas and test daily samples.Document all procedures and results accurately, both on paper and electronically.Essential SkillsExperience with wet chemistry and chemical analysis.Proficiency in quality assurance, quality control, and quality inspection.Ability to perform lab analysis and testing.Knowledge of titration techniques.Additional Skills & QualificationsAt least 1 year of experience working in a laboratory setting (non-medical).Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs daily.Strong ability to learn quickly and excellent soft skills.Work Environment
The position requires working in a salt mine environment, which can be humid, dirty, and physically demanding. You will need to navigate several flights of stairs multiple times a day, often carrying bags of salt. Training will be provided over a period of up to 4 weeks, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. After training, you will work independently. You will be provided with a uniform a few weeks after starting; during training, you are required to wear jeans, steel toe boots, and a t-shirt (no short sleeves).
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
