The Lab Technician I Fill Finish Operations - Night Shift position is responsible for the final finishing of plasma products. This includes aseptic filling, visual inspection, vial labeling, and final serialization and packaging. This position is under the oversight of the Group Leader and reports to the Supervisor/Sr. Manager Fill Finish Operations.
Responsibilities
+ Cleaning and sanitizing equipment before and after use
+ Area cleaning, disinfection, and waste removal
+ Maintaining raw material and component inventories, performing inventory cycle counts
+ Keeping the area in an organized GMP state, participating in area walk-throughs, following up on and closing observations
+ Handling raw materials, components, and finished goods
+ Restocking supplies
+ Responsible for all assigned production operations
+ Loading and unloading the filling system
+ Visual inspection of filled products
+ Vial labeling, serialization, and final packaging of filled products
+ Taking product samples
+ Completing and auditing batch records and logbooks following Good Documentation Practices
Essential Skills
+ Minimum High School diploma or Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
+ Experience in a large-scale manufacturing cGMP regulated environment working with Standard Operating Procedures and cGMP documentation practices is a plus
+ Good verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs
+ Ability to work independently and on a team to achieve established goals
+ Experience with cleaning tools and chemicals preferred but not required
+ Reliable and able to work flexible hours if needed
+ Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
+ Ability to work in a controlled cleanroom environment
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preference will be given to candidates with plasma fractionation or purification experience
Work Environment
Warehouse/Manufacturing environment. FDA and GMP regulated environment. Shift: 4-hour shifts, 3pm-1:30am. (3) Night Shift openings. Monday - Friday & weekends, 7 am - 7 pm or 7 pm - 7 am. Will work in 2-3 day intervals. Facility is open 24/7/365. Physical Demands: Sits at desk 10-15% of time operating computer with related software, investigating and resolving inventory and delivery discrepancies, reading and preparing reports per department SOPs, and communicating with warehousing staff and other departments via email. Remainder of time spent standing, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pulling, and carrying materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required; no overnight travel except for occasional training; travel to offsite warehouses by personal automobile or company vehicle may be required. Potential hazards include airborne particles, caustics, chemicals, fumes, human source products, odors and other conditions usually found in a manufacturing, laboratory, or warehouse environments. Stressors: Variable, depending upon delivery frequencies, volume of work, interruptions, and occasional emergency shipments, deliveries, and receipts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
