Lab Technician
Job Title: Laboratory TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Laboratory Technician to perform manufacturing tasks to transform raw materials into final products. This role involves decontamination processes, product transfer, and instrument maintenance and logging. The ideal candidate will operate laboratory instruments, follow work instructions, and adhere to company policies and procedures. Responsibilities + Perform manufacturing tasks to transform raw materials into final products, including decontamination processes, product transfer, and instrument maintenance and logging. + Operate laboratory instruments by following all work instructions and adhering to company policies and procedures. + Strictly adhere to customer-specific and general work instructions and SOPs. + Support daily management of processes and products, including assessment to drive problem-solving with data and suggestion of countermeasures. + Use automated and manual lab equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance activities. + Quantify and sample DNA fragments for quality control tests. Essential Skills + Experience in laboratory tasks and biological processes. + Proficiency in pipetting and using liquid handlers. + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work cooperatively within a team. + Efficiency in completing tasks accurately and timely. + Experience with quality control and data entry. + Knowledge of chemistry and laboratory information management systems (LIMS). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's Degree in Science required with laboratory experience. + Bachelor's Degree in Life Science preferred. Work Environment The work schedule is Friday to Sunday from 7am to 7:30pm (36-hour work week) with a base pay and shift differential. Another shift option is Monday to Thursday from 9pm to 7:30am with a different base pay and shift differential. Shift differentials will change if the employee changes shifts. The role involves performing cell division of the oligo, purifying the oligo using HPLC, and making concentration adjustments to the oligo before packaging. Teamwork is essential in synthesis and HPLC processes, while more solo work is involved in formulation. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.59 - $26.67/hr.
