Lab Technician Assistant- Central Processing

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Lab Technician Assistant to join the central processing team. This role will work Night Shift (20 hrs/week) Monday-Friday with every other Weekends, schedule will vary based on department needs.

Lab Technician Assistant Job Responsibilities:

The Laboratory Technician Assistant 1 ensures accurate specimen processing to maintain specimen integrity and verifies product and/or test components when processing.  Manages specimen accessioning accurately/efficiently to provide quality specimens for Laboratory testing.  Performs billing/registration procedures accurately and efficiently in order to ensure regulatory compliance.  Communicates effectively and work cooperatively with team members to optimize job performance and foster working relationships. May perform additional duties as assigned.

Lab Technician Assistant Additional Requirements:

Working Hours: Night Shift (20 hrs/week) Monday-Friday with every other Weekends, schedule will vary based on department needs working hours1000pm-0630am  Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: Previous Lab and/or phlebotomy experience highly preferred
