Job Description

Our client is one of the world’s largest agricultural processors and food ingredient providers. Their products are made for food, animal feed, industrial and energy uses. Seeking a Lab Tech who will be responsible to work independently and will run the lab with the lab manager when they're available. They use a lot of unique instrumentation that most candidate will not be familiar with. Instruments used in the flour industry solely. This Lab Technician will be working with the quality team to perform laboratory analysis and QA/QC checks required for refinery analysis. The job responsibilities will be as follows:

Conduct laboratory tests and analyze data for a variety of purposes, such as production, pollution control, quality control, and minor researchTest and analyze products, such as feed, beverage, and industrial alcohol, to determine if the product meets plant specifications prior to releaseRelease in-spec vessels and report out-of-spec vesselsTest and analyze production samples, such as fermenters, beerstills, rectifiers, etc., and report uncharacteristic resultsDocument results of tests, readings, etc. in logbooks and in TLC (Total Lab Client)Complete certificates of analysisPrepare chemical solutions for use in the labMaintain and calibrate all lab equipment and related field instrumentationMaintain awareness and adhere to all FDA, GMP, TTB, USP, EPA, OSHA and employer standards and guidelinesSupport and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements
