The Soils Laboratory Technician will be responsible for supporting the soils laboratory by following methodologies and preparing samples. 

 

What you will do:
 

​Prepare samples for a wide variety of testing procedures, following outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).  ​Operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation.   ​Document activities and report results accurately and concisely.  ​Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.   ​Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and work areas.​  Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment. Other duties as required.

 

What you will bring:
 

High school diploma or equivalent required. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required. 1-3 years of previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred.
