Lab Technician - Third Shift
Job Title: Laboratory Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our fast-paced, small lab environment within a dairy manufacturing plant. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our milk-based products, such as yogurt and Halo Top Ice Cream, by performing a variety of tests and checks. + Perform all Quality Assurance tasks required including laboratory testing and plant/facility Quality monitoring. + Laboratory testing includes, but not limited to, microbiological, shelf-life, antibiotic testing, fat, and solids testing, and allergen validation testing. Plant/facility Quality monitoring includes, but not limited to ATP swabbing, pH checks on finished product and in-line process samples, Air Quality Monitoring, + Water Quality Monitoring, and Environmental Pathogen Monitoring, + All tasks require proper documentation and record keeping consistent with the documentation control procedure outlined in the SQF system. + This position is not limited to above description as other responsibilities may include tasks, projects, or plans given by Management. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Commerce, California. Work Environment Fast paced, small lab environment in a dairy manufacturing plant. The lab is not a clean room environment and is somewhat outdated. You will need to walk on the production floor at times to ensure compliance with GMPs and to test samples. The team is small, works 2nd shift, and maintains a friendly atmosphere. The regular schedule for this position is the 3rd shift, from 10:00pm to 6:30am, with a training period of 1.5 to 2 months on the 1st shift (6:00am to 2:30pm). Pay ranges from $21 to $22 per hour.
