About the Department:

We’re a small community hospital with many of the resources available to big hospitals; our OB hospitalist team, respiratory therapists, CRNAs and midwives are all in-house and available 24/7Level 2 NICU, Pediatric and low-to-moderate risk LDRP services provided8 private, individual NICU or Pediatric rooms14 LDRP roomsApproximately 70-80 births per monthEnsure an outstanding patient experience in private rooms, where patients can labor, deliver, recover and be discharged all from the same room for their comfortOur holistic approach includes welcoming doulas and midwives, participating in the Home Birth Transfer Partnership, supporting pain management alternatives and providing a jacuzzi tub in every roomFind fulfillment in serving Hillsboro and its surrounding communities, located in Oregon’s most diverse county

The RN for Women’s and Children’s Center ensures the delivery of quality nursing care to patients throughout the Women’s & Children’s Center, including those who require cardiac monitoring. Responsible for the assessment of patient needs, planning nursing care based on those needs, and ensuring that the plan of care is implemented, documented and evaluated according to the nursing process. Demonstrates skill sets and competencies that are needed to accept a regular patient care assignment in a minimum of two areas within the Women’s & Children’s Center, including neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, labor and delivery, or post-partum. Supervises care given by supportive staff including techs and CNA’s.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Provide developmental care.Derives nursing goals from assessment data to identify expected patient outcomes.Collaborates with patient, partner and health care team to develop individualized goals and plan of care.Provide concise, pertinent report to health care team, physicians, and clinical managers. Required Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)Current Registered Nurse license in the State of OregonAmerican Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLSNRP required within six (6) months of hireS.T.A.B.L.E. required withing six (6) months of hireAWHONN Fetal Monitoring Intermediate, C-EFM, or documentation of equivalent CNE's within six (6) months of hireTo ensure appropriate skill mix in Labor and Delivery openings in the Women’s and Children’s Center, two (2) years of Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum, or high-risk antepartum experience required within the last 3 years
