Labor and Employment Paralegal
**Description** Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Labor and Employment Paralegal with at least five (5) years of experience for the San Francisco, CA office. **Primary Responsibilities** + Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery; + Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials; + Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file; + Assist with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices; + Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria; + Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery); + Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial; + Coordinating trial set-up and logistics as well as serving as liaison among various internal departments as well as with outside vendors, such as translation services, document production vendors and trial graphics providers; + Summarizing depositions and other transcripts; + Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation; and + Additional responsibilities include supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support. **Skills & Abilities** + Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong problem-solving skills. + Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. + Ability to work independently and take initiative. + Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality and provide outstanding customer service to internal and external clients/contacts. + Working knowledge of office accounting methods and techniques, including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, as well as the ability to learn other programs. + Proven ability to conduct independent research. + Prepare and understand financial accounts as well as other financial and statistical reports. + Compose and disseminate correspondence as required. + Ability to understand tax forms, including but not limited to federal tax returns and schedules. **Qualifications** + BA or BS degree strongly preferred. + Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with five years of comparable work experience required. + Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Demonstrate flexibility regarding client and legal team requests. + Achieve high level of productivity. + Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. **Work Environment & Physical Demands** + This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. **COMPENSATION & BENEFITS** The salary ranges for this position apply to the respective listed locations. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position.
