Our client, a distinguished national law firm, is seeking a highly-qualified and motivated Associate to join their Labor and Employment practice in Tampa or West Palm Beach.
Candidate Profile:
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record. Bar Admission in Florida, or willingness to obtain admission for strong candidates willing to relocate. 3-4 years of substantive litigation experience, with a particular focus on employment law. Knowledge of employment-related legislation such as FLSA, ERISA, COBRA, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, and Title VII is preferred but not required. Demonstrated writing skills and strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise clients on compliance with various employment laws and regulations. Handle employment-related administrative actions and litigation. Draft pleadings, motions, and manage discovery processes. Represent clients in trials and arbitrations related to employment disputes. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently on client matters, is essential in an environment that values drive and client service.
