**Job Title: Labor Foreman** **Job Description** We are looking for a Labor Foreman to lead a crew of skilled laborers at a construction site. The Labor Foreman will assign tasks, ensure safety, maintain work quality, and oversee daily operations, including managing timekeeping, material distribution, and basic project planning to complete assigned tasks efficiently. **Responsibilities** + Supervise a crew of skilled laborers + Ensure compliance with safety protocols + Schedule and manage work tasks + Perform quality control checks + Manage materials and supplies + Keep accurate timekeeping records + Communicate effectively with the crew and superiors + Read blueprints and construction plans to understand project requirements + Perform basic manual labor tasks alongside the crew when needed + Address worker concerns and resolve on-site issues + Conduct safety meetings with the crew + Report on project progress and potential problems to superiors + Maintain a clean and organized worksite **Essential Skills** + Strong leadership and supervisory skills + Excellent communication skills + Basic understanding of construction methods and safety protocols + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents + Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions + Experience in construction labor or related field **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Foreman experience + Heavy Equipment Operation + General Labor experience + Construction Laborer experience **Why Work Here?** This is a union-based opportunity with potential for long-term stability and job security. The quarry will be repurposed for future construction projects. The team is supported by an internal office staff and works closely with multiple companies. The current project is expected to be completed by 2055. The role involves monitoring conveyor belts and sorting out metal and plastic debris from crushed stone. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prospect Park, New Jersey. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
