Become a Labor Relations, Sr Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role you will serve as first chair negotiator in all first contract negotiations and interim bargaining, as well as serve as a critical member of the bargaining team for all general negotiations on SCE’s collective bargaining agreements. In addition to contract negotiations, the Labor Relations, Senior Advisor provides counsel and guidance on complex and sensitive labor relations matters including internal and external union influences, contract interpretation, grievance resolution and other related labor matters.

Responsibilities Conducts training sessions to educate employees and management on labor relations matters Advises management on labor relations policies, practices, and compliance issues Prepares for, participates in, and/or leads union-management contract negotiations Works closely with various stakeholders, including HR managers, department heads, and union leaders, to build strong relationships and drive positive change Monitors labor relations activities and trends in the industry and make recommendations to senior management Collaborates with legal counsel as needed to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Ensures that all critical labor relations matters are reported efficiently and effectively, while ensuring that work is delivered on time with the highest quality Partners with the legal department to mitigate risks and manage employment-related litigation strategies At the direction of the Law Department or Ethics, assist management in conducting thorough investigations into employee relations matters A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Ten or more years of experience administering and/or advising on collective bargaining agreements in a unionized environment. Ten or more years of experience conducting or supporting negotiations of collective bargaining agreements, MOU’s or other agreements between an employer and organized labor.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications/Licenses/Registrations Preferred: Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and/or Human Resource Certification Institute – Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
