As an HR Generalist in Employment, you will play a key role in our ability to deliver what we promise to our customers.
As an HR Generalist, you will assist in ensuring a smooth and efficient Manufacturing operation by providing employment and labor support for Hourly Bargaining Unit employees to guarantee a great employee experience.
Responsibilities of this role:
Administer the hourly employment office functions and processes, assist with workforce analysis, deployment and people power management based on contractual obligations and corporate policies Manage the day-to-day Employment window functions: leave tracking, reinstatements, general employee questions and support, records management, etc. Implement the onboarding orientation sessions for the HBU workforce Support the implementation and execution of our lean manufacturing methodology Drive a positive workplace culture by supporting plant employee engagement initiatives Assist with the administration of the national and local collective bargaining agreements Equitable administration of the collective agreement including grievance administration, interpretation and overall compliance Administration of attendance program Administration and discipline assessment Run attendance reports and gather information to compile into presentations with trend analysis EEOC and other workplace investigations Implementation of lean manufacturing activities
Key experiences and know-how
The following prior experiences will be required for someone to be successful in this role:
Employment/Labor Relations/Manufacturing experience Utilize lean manufacturing tools in the context of employee development Analyze and utilize data to make decisions Experience with managing conflict and having difficult conversations Demonstrated ability to be approachable, able to communicate with all levels of employees, prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree 1 + year of experience in a professional field Proficient with Microsoft Suite Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong follow up, problem solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
