The Ignite Technical Assistance (TA) Facility is designed to address commonly requested TA needs from small, early-stage, and or innovative U.S. DFC clients and serves as an impact multiplier and risk mitigant for some of DFC’s most developmental projects. Ignite will enable DFC Ignite-eligible clients to quickly and efficiently address some of the key obstacles that such clients face and increase their impact and sustainability.
Tetra Tech is seeking short-term Labor Risk Assessment Specialists with experience in conducting child labor assessments in agriculture and fisheries supply chains to support a Technical Assistance activity in Guinea. The ideal candidates should have experience working in West Africa and be fluent in French, both spoken and written.
Labor Risk Assessment Specialist will:
Demonstrated expertise in assessment and management of child labor risks in supply chains. Ability to analyze labor risks in supply chain and provide targeted recommendations for small scale companies. Demonstrated expertise in value/supply chain assessment. Extensive knowledge of the IFC Performance Standards and ILO Fundamental Conventions and experience monitoring projects against those standards. Practical and technical expertise in conducting social due diligence and reviewing and monitoring implementation of social action plans in similar projects. Excellent analytical, report writing, and presentation skills. Ability to travel and conduct site visit in Guinea. Fluency in French and English.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 7 years’ of relevant experience. Experience in the agriculture/food processing industry is preferred. Experience working in Guinea and/or West Africa. Experience in training delivery for implementation of supply chain management system. Master’s degree preferred in Development Studies, Public Administration, Gender Studies; preferred. Experience working on international development projects for various clients; preferred. Experience with delivering trainings and preparing assessment reports; preferred.Please note that this call for Specialists is an ongoing expression of interest and not a direct employment opportunity.
