OverviewJob Summary
Performs work measurement and time studies evaluations to support an ongoing engineered warehouse/retail labor standards program.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluates and recommends improvement to warehouse/retail management work flow design by observing work practices and applying work measurement and time studies principals.Creates, maintains and documents warehouse/retail labor standards.Completes and maintains audits used to verify labor standards set for warehousing/retail operations.Apprises warehouse/retail management of any changes to processes included within the established labor standards.Communicates with warehouse/retail management regarding work measurement and time studies for warehousing/retail operations.Assists in setting labor standards for new warehouse and retail openingsAssists in labor standards project managementPerforms other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience
Experience:
At least two years of applicable experience with:Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail in order to effectively monitor progress and complete assignments, performing all duties with efficiency and accuracy.Demonstrated initiative and self-direction to perform a variety of simultaneous skills (multi-tasking), fielding and prioritizing different tasks, phone calls and projects with minimal supervision.Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) software.
Ability to:
Utilize excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills, establishing and maintaining a good rapport with co-workers, supervisors, union representatives, etc.Apply working knowledge of work measurement and time studies to workplace situations.Observe, analyze and evaluate work practices associated with a variety of different tasks.Accept direction from multiple sources and effectively manage time to ensure deadlines are met.Travel to various locations when necessary.Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information.
Preferred Experience:
Industrial engineering/labor standards experienceExperience working in the retail industryExperience working with project management software and toolsWarehouse and merchandising schematic knowledge
