Labor Strategist, FT McLeod Health

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations

1. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer service relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.

2. Skills in planning, leading, facilitating, and implementing improvement projects/teams.

3. Using defined methodologies will assist in adjusting area data and targets as required to reflect current activities.

4. Assist department managers in effectively controlling resources.

5. Acts a productivity resource for Directors, managers, and executives.

6. Assists managers and directors with development, deployment, and monitoring of manager action plans.

7. Review managements reporting data and trends with department heads.

8. Develop work flows to meet established productivity and benchmarking targets for areas with opportunities.

9. Provides consultative and analytical services, contributing to labor improvement strategies for sites, departments.

10. Will facilitate and lead improvement activities of identified opportunistic areas through analysis, A3, Lean methodologies, and insights.

11. Establishes and maintains strong customer relationships with both internal and external partners.

12. Serves as a change agent, championing agile ways of thinking and working to enable teams and individuals for success.

13. Ability to engage staff at all levels of the work force and professional disciplines.

14. Promotes conceptual thinking and execution.

15. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications /Training:

· Experience and proficiency in data analytics and project or process management

· Excellent communication, motivational, coaching, and organizational skills required.

· Ability to manage program development, leadership alignment, and customer engagement in a dynamic, cross-functional and fast-moving environment

· Strong communication skills with a people focused mindset

· Must have strong foundation of A3 thinking and Lean methodology

· Bedside nursing experience

· Process management and project management experience

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nursing, or other healthcare related field
