EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Analyst II (Microbiology) in Orlando, FL.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the preparation and analysis of Microbiology fungal, bacterial samples
Asbestos analysis experience is beneficial
Entering, screening and creating reporting data through the LIMs system
Receive environmental samples and log them into LIMs system if eneded
Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness
Assist with sample client related questions via phone and e-mail
Clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, scanning
Maintenance and understanding of Quality Assurance/Quality Control program and Standard Operating Procedures
Other tasks may be assigned at the discretion of the Laboratory Manager

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Life Science required
1-2 years of experience analyzing Microbiology samples
Experience analyzing asbestos samples a plus
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task
Ability to prioritize work assignments
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable with using microscopes and sitting for long periods of time
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work overtime and or weekends if needed

Available Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
