Laboratory Asset Manager
Overview The Laboratory Asset Manager is responsible for equipment life-cycle management for the Fairview Laboratory Services. In collaboration with Supply Chain Contracting and Portfolio Management, the Laboratory Asset Manager will work with operational leaders, Clinical Engineers, and Finance to optimize supplier negotiation and contract strategies and help Laboratory system leaders to organize equipment replacement timelines and supplier evaluation. Responsibilities Job Description Job Expectations: Maximize profitability of laboratory operations through optimization of laboratory equipment life cycle and supplier agreements Design and implement systems that facilitate life cycle asset management Manage up to date inventories of all assets Coordinate with operational directors to maintain 5 year capital lists Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best price for assets/agreements in collaboration with operational directors Project manage capital acquisition processes Strategically assess performance of internal preventative maintenance and service agreement strategies Identify product alternatives with high value Organization Expectations, as applicable: Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served. Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making. Communicates in a respectful manner. Ensures a safe, secure environment. Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs. Modifies clinical interventions based on population served. Provides patient education based on an assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver. Fulfills all organizational requirements. Completes all required learning relevant to the role. Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards. Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking. Performs other duties as assigned.
