Laboratory Assistant

Excellent Hands On Laboratory Experience | NO Experience Needed | Pay: $19.50/hr.

Job Description:

As a Laboratory Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include sorting specimens, entering patient requisitions, labeling specimens, and packaging them for transport to the main lab. This role involves pre-analytical and post-analytical processes of testing, without direct involvement in testing. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to grow their lab career.

Responsibilities:Open specimens and pour off secondary containers to prepare for analysis and testing.Verify all samples arrived, inspect for any damage, remove and dispose of packaging, and move samples down the line for entry.Operate multiple computer software systems and remember which software applies to different samples.Verify names on samples match requisitions.Handle various samples including urine, blood, serum, plasma, body fluids, and unknown substances.Create labels and label samples after entry into systems.Qualifications: Must have a high school diplomaMust have reliable transportation Must provide 1 reference Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80
