RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person in this position:
Provide support to the Chemistry Laboratory by properly preparing representative, homogeneous samples for analytical quantitative and qualitative analyses on a wide variety of products. Receive incoming samples and supplies for the Research and Development Laboratories. Work with moderate supervision and/or detailed procedures after training is completed. Perform basic analytical procedures for the Chemistry Lab in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. Perform other duties as assigned within R&D Laboratories.QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, LIMS, or equivalent software. Communication – Strong listening, speaking, and writing skills. Inclusion – Ability to work effectively in an inclusive team environment, treating others with dignity and respect. Initiative – Ability to manage responsibilities proactively utilizing strong organizational and time-management skills. Resilience – Open to change while staying engaged in a challenging work environment. Accountability – Strong work ethic. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be capable of standing for extended periods of time and performing sample preparation. Regularly lifts 20-30 lbs., and may occasionally have to lift up to 50 lbs. Good motor coordination. Capable of working independently and as part of a team.Preferred

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $16.88-$26.43 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
