In this role, you will:
Accurately accession patient specimens into the laboratory information systemProvide support for pathologists, histology technicians, and gross technicians in the dermatology pathology labPerform and document scheduled preventative maintenance on instruments and stain linesCorrelate H&E and IHC slides for scanning and distributionEmbed processed tissue specimens in paraffin blocksPrepare chemical and biological waste for removalFile, retrieve and scan pathology materials for send out studies and specialized testingAnswer phones and serve as a resource for clients and patientsAll you need is:
High School Diploma, minimumOne year of laboratory training or experience is preferred, or qualified to receive on the job trainingStrong reading, writing, communication, multitasking, time management, and analytical skillsAbility to operate general laboratory and office equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated slide scanning and staining systems, microscopes, and audible alarmsBonus points if you’ve got:
