GENERAL SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting in preparing specimens for testing and assist with cleaning and organizing the laboratory.

Job Location: Rancho Bernardo, CA

Schedule: Full-Time - Tuesday-Saturday, 7pm start time, 8 hour shift

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Under constant and direct supervision of Clinical Laboratory Scientists:

May pull and setup samples for testing including validations, repeats, repipettes. Cleaning and maintenance of the laboratory and all equipment. Assist with organization/Inventory of supplies for the laboratory. Discard urine specimens per schedule. Clean lab floors as necessary, checking for broken glass. Responsible for aliquotting specimens for preparation of testing. Responsible for accurately distinguishing colors in the urine specimens. Document and forward to a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for final approval. Required to follow all safety procedures, policies, precautions, and Quality Assurance. Meets productivity standards. Other related duties as assigned. Ability to ensure HIPAA, Confidentiality and Compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to. Ability to ensure administrative, physical and technical cyber security controls are always adhered to.
