**Job Description**
**Targeted Hourly Pay Range:** Starting pay $ 23- $25 per hour.
**→ 90% outside work environment (All Weather), 6 days a week, (Mon-Sat), 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM, plus OT.**
**Position Purpose:**
Responsible for supervising and overseeing the day to day laboratory operations. Assist staff on complex analysis of problems to determine chemical components of waste materials and appropriate utilization of site processors. Ensures that the laboratory site is in proper compliance with company policies and procedures as well as with appropriate regulatory agencies. Train and assist newly hired laboratory technicians in the various techniques utilized in the laboratory in identifying a variety of hazardous waste materials.
**Primary Duties/responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for performing routine tasks and analyses on hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste and product samples in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
+ Sample inbound waste material & site generated materials.
+ Prepare composite samples for Laboratory testing.
+ Code material based on Waste Information Profile (WIP) for facility handling and processing
+ Record and enter facility processing codes into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
+ Create sample identification labels.
+ Facilitate communication to resolve paperwork issues for incoming material.
+ Follow plant safety procedures including use and understanding of proper PPE for drum checking and sampling.
+ Assists in compiling and reporting of analysis data including QA/QC data for review.
**Work Environment:**
+ Position is 90% outdoor work.
+ Hours are 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM with ample overtime opportunity.
+ This position is scheduled for 6 days a week (Mon-Sat)
**Qualifications**
**Education / Experience / Background:**
+ High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent required.
+ Related work experience of 1 to 2 years in the hazardous waste industry is preferred.
+ Associates or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science discipline preferred.
**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:**
+ Strong team player.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Time management: the ability manage multiple deadlines.
+ Computer literate.
+ Self-motivated.
+ Working outdoors 90% of the time.
