Work Hours:

Full Time, 80 hours bi-weekly Evening shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM) Weekend and holiday rotation

Minimum Requirements:

High School Degree or GED (Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree). Formal Phlebotomy training.  Phlebotomy Certification. Knowledge of laboratory terminology, specimen handling experience, and data entry skills. Proficiency with Windows software, HIS, and LIS. 1-2 years of experience in a hospital lab setting

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a resourceful and team-oriented Lab Process Technician to serve as a laboratory liaison for a diverse range of customers receiving services from TriHealth. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of hospital services and is responsible for proper labeling, aliquoting, packaging, and tracking of specimens throughout the TriHealth Laboratory system, as well as dispatching specimens to the appropriate referral laboratory. Key responsibilities include handling telephone calls to and from customers, gathering necessary data for service and billing, answering questions, and resolving issues. The role also involves completing paperwork to meet OIG compliance guidelines, accurately interpreting and transcribing physician orders, and LIS/HIS order entry. The technician will procure quality specimens from adult, geriatric, pediatric, and infant patients for diagnostic testing in accordance with CLIA, JCAHO, and CAP guidelines.
