Monday through Friday but at the needs of the department. Job Summary The UKHC Laboratory is seeking an individual who has a desire to oversee laboratory quality and safety, employee competency and regulatory compliance. This position will serve as the laboratory safety officer and as such must have an interest in staff education as well as a willingness to learn and apply that knowledge.

Experience in CAP (College of American Pathologists) accreditation preferred, especially with regard to Lab General standards. This position reports directly to the Enterprise Director of Quality Management. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Advanced knowledge in windows applications, excel, PowerPoint, publisher. Advanced Clinical lab knowledge with CAP and other regulator agencies. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience MLS or BSMT with ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
