Laboratory Research Technician

Performs ultrasound scan services on animals or/and human subjects. Operates sonography equipment and accessories, and applicable data analysis software and assumes responsibility for maintaining the equipment, data, and necessary supplies in the core. Supports user investigators with preparing the scan, necessary basic training of scan, data collection, and general logistics.

Performs laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.

Maneuver a 50 lb wheeled instrument safely through tight passages and in and out of elevators.

Able to stand for up to 4 hours for image acquisition studies.
