Laboratory Shift Leader- NEEDS Clearance
Job Title: Shift Leader Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shift Leader to join our team. The Shift Leader will report administratively to a Shift Leader or Laboratory Manager and serve as a shift supervisor. This role involves directing work by assigning responsibilities and tasks to others, ensuring that staff members have the necessary resources and authority to accomplish their tasks, and facilitating the professional growth of team members through on-the-job training and development of enhanced skills. Responsibilities + Direct work by assigning responsibilities and tasks to others. + Ensure staff members have the necessary resources and authority to accomplish assigned tasks. + Facilitate the professional growth of team members through on-the-job training and skill development. + Provide timely feedback to staff on performance and participate in staff evaluations. + Write or contribute to monthly and final reports. + Communicate directly with clients to assess their needs and develop beneficial relationships. + Perform technical-based tasks and laboratory analysis using established protocols and SOPs. + Review experimental data for completeness and accuracy according to standard procedures. + Ensure accurate computer (LIMS) entry and completeness. + Develop or revise protocols and SOPs and monitor staff for compliance with all SOPs and Quality Assurance requirements. + Provide or arrange specific technical training necessary for staff to accomplish tasks. + Take initiative and share decision-making and other responsibilities with others. + Collaborate with team members to accomplish project, division, and Institute-level goals and resolve problems. Essential Skills + Knowledge of protein purification, PCR, QPCR, GLP, SOP, CAPA, and LIMS. + Secret Clearance Required. + Experience and technical knowledge to support quality assurance activities including the development of SOPs, risk assessments, and Corrective and Preventive Action Plans (CAPAs). + Proficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Additional Skills & Qualifications + M.S. in a specified study area plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or + B.S. in a specified study area plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. + Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Work Environment Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite. The position requires the ability to work 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, from 3:00pm - 12:00am. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $79000.00 - $85000.00 plus A 6% differential The salary range is intended as a general guideline and is not a guaranteed offer, as compensation depends on various factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market conditions.
