Element has an opening for a Lab Supervisor position at our extractables and leachables facility in Bend, OR. The Lab Supervisor will be responsible for managing processes as related to lab activities including but not limited to training, recruiting, scheduling, process execution of lab activities, equipment ownership and document management. The success of this role depends on and requires proactive, effective collaboration with other departments and effective communication with the team. This role requires someone that is self-motivated, who takes initiative on process improvements and encourages debate and then commitment to a decision. This role exercises a risk-based approach when confronted with issues and proposes resolutions. Provides mentorship to junior staff through discussion, support and experience. Serves as an SME to the lab and uses good judgement to escalates questions or concerns as necessary.
