The Lab Supervisor assists the department director in the day to day management of departmental operations for all areas within the Laboratory scope of operations. The supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of Core Laboratory operations and personnel management. The supervisor will coordinate quality control, proficiency testing and inventory for all laboratory departments.

Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Monitors regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.Monitors patient reports for compliance with timeliness and documentation. Reports compliance variances and works towards established goals.

Minimum Education
□ Bachelor’s degree □ Preferred X Required
□ Master's degree X Preferred □ Required

Preferred: Advanced courses in Healthcare Administration.
Minimum Work Experience
Required - 4 years generalist or specialty.
Preferred - 2 years supervisory or increasing level of responsibility.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Incumbent must also meet the departmental requirements of continuing education by attaining a minimum of 18 hours per year.
