The incumbent will serve in the Louisiana Office of Public Health - Biochemistry Laboratory, Newborn Screening Program. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, assessing submitted samples to ensure their quality and integrity during transport, data entry, and processing of samples. Quality control and maintenance activities include temperature monitoring, inventory control, dissemination of supplies, preparation of media and overall support of laboratory analysis functions. Samples analyzed at the OPH lab include clinical samples. The successful candidate will fully support adherence to federal laboratory regulations mandated by regulating agencies.
