Job Description

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE:

Performing the required testing of asphalt roofing shingles and raw materials

Collecting and compiling of samples at different stages in the production process to prepare physical analysis and reports

Preparing basic laboratory reports by recording the necessary data on charts, graphs and forms to be used by the Quality Assurance Engineer, Engineering Department and Superintendents

Following and adhering to Laboratory Quality Control SOPs

Maintaining good record keeping practices and strict adherence to quality and safety programs

Gathering relevant data as requested by the Quality Assurance Engineer and Senior Manufacturing team to ensure quality standards are met

Other projects and assignments related to research and quality assurance may be assigned

Work with production and engineering on special projects as directed

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a QC/QA laboratory

Experience in heavy manufacturing environment, strongly preferred, but not required

Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Program: Word, Excel and Outlook

Must possess a willingness to learn and the ability to follow instructions and take direction

Possess solid problem solving and action planning skills

Possess effective oral and written communication skills

Possess the ability to make independent and sound decisions

Possess solid interpersonal skills
