Laboratory Technician Job Number: 352328 Category: Lab Technician Description: Job Title: Laboratory Technician Location: Torrance, CA Zip Code: 90501 Start Date: Right Away Job Type: Contract - 4 months Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00/hr Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm Keywords: #labtechnicianjobs #pharmaceuticalindustryjobs JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for a variety of tasks within the manufacturing process, including preparing work orders to pack chromatography columns, assembling products, maintaining optimal stock levels, supplying solvents and hardware, and manufacturing security guard cartridges of various types and sizes and recycling failed columns. * Accurately weigh and label sorbents; pick appropriate empty column assemblies (order from product assembly if needed). * Assembly of empty column hardware (end fittings, frits, and tubing). * Pack different sorbents in security guard hardware. * Unpack columns and recycle materials according to procedure. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Relevant laboratory experience * Critical thinking and good problem-solving skills. * Detail oriented, diligent, careful in observation and work. * Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * The desire and ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced team environment. * Being adaptable and open to change. * Effective time management skills and able to manage multiple tasks, while maintaining proper attention to detail.
