ResponsibilitiesUnder the guidance of the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Technician is to assist the Corrosion Classification Coupon Analyst in manufacturing Corrosion Classification Coupons (CCC's). Aid the Chemical Media Analyst in performing Chemical Media Life Analysis (MLA) and Media Quality Assurance (QA).
Provide clerical support to generate CCC and MLA reports. Provide technical support to other departments and suppliers as required. Determine, recommend, and implement corrective and preventive actions relative to issues affecting the quality of Purafil's products. Promote the interests of Purafil in all interfaces and interact with various personnel and peers to assure consistency and common focus.
Assure compliance with appropriate ISO 9001 procedures, ISO 17025 procedures, and Purafil Quality System as defined by the Quality Manual.Manufacture CCC's per production work ordersAssist in daily quality assurance (QA) of chemical media.Assist in media life analysis (MLA) and reporting.Assist in OnGuard assembly and programming.Authorized to report MLA reports in ITS program Order appropriate lab supplies. Help to insure laboratory cleanliness and safety Qualifications Intermediate skill level Microsoft Office suite software.1-2 years’ experience working in a lab environmentMinimum requirement: High School Diploma, GED, High School ChemistryPreferred requirement: Associate degree in related technical field
WORK ENVIRONMENT
