Job Description

Lab Technicians work as part of the Operations team to measure the parameters and performance of raw materials, in-process components, and final product. This may include, but not limited to, sampling, material preparation, testing, data entry and housekeeping. Technicians assist both production and R&D efforts to understand the conformance and performance of various materials.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Primary Accountabilities:

Follow all written procedures to sample material, perform a test and record/communicate results.Assist in maintaining lab equipment and supply inventory.Use all provided personal protective equipment to perform all tasks.Maintain a clean, safe lab environment.Work in a team setting with all MiTek employees and guests.Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

Education – High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience –

6 to 12 months experience in a lab environment or 2 years in manufacturing with testing responsibilitiesFamiliar with chemical handlingFamiliar with calibrating and handling lab equipment

Skills –

Follow instructions and proceduresFunction as a team member in a manufacturing settingCommunicate clearly with written and verbal methodsSelf-Motivated to complete assigned tasksUse Microsoft Office capablyUnderstand of simple mathematics

Working Conditions:

Work in lab, warehouse, and process settings.Lift minimum 50 pounds.Operate forklift as needed.
