Laboratory Technician, Delaware OH.
Pay: $50,000.00 Annual, higher pay potential depending on experience and skill level.
Shift: Saturday – Tuesday, 7am – 7pm. Overtime on business need.
As a Laboratory Technician working onsite in our Resin production support Quality Control (QC) Lab in Delaware, OH, you will be responsible for a variety of laboratory operations in quality assurance and research settings. In the QC team, you will validate raw material and finished good samples, identify result abnormalities, work to mitigate risk of defective material, and aid in the support of our continuous improvement and project initiatives. Laboratory technicians will be agile learners, results driven, and collaborative in their work within the QC team and across multiple functional groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and troubleshoot batch QC result abnormalities and take action as ableTest all production samples as required – following SOPs as defined, performing test methods accurately, and recording all test resultsSupport project and continuous improvement work as needed to help maintain project timelinesUnderstand customer requirements and determine adjustments for batches as neededCollaborate with other QC teams, production, and technical groups to independently disposition batchesMaintain all laboratory equipment and perform required calibrations as assignedUtilize immediate production and project needs to prioritize daily activitiesMaintain lab ancillary inventory, daily material stocking needs, and contribute to 6SUnderstand, support, and maintain Delaware’s Quality Management System requirementsSupport Departmental X matrix action items as assignedCompletion of development plans in entiretyExecution of RCA (Root Cause Analysis) tasks as assignedQualifications
Bachelor’s degree requiredDegree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering preferred1 year of academic or professional laboratory experience and proven ability to accurately apply laboratory methodsAbility to work night shift (2nd or 3rd)Ability to work weekends as dictated by business needAbility to work additional overtime as determined by business and project needsPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
