Laboratory Technician

An opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Technician within the Alloy Plant.  This role operates on a 3-shift rotation, and reports to the Laboratory Supervisor. 


Your main responsibilities will include;

Analysis of alloy samples by instrumental techniques using; Combustion, Optical emission and X-ray Fluorescence techniques. Samples include preliminary melt samples, certification samples, and remelt samples from casting plants and external customersPreparation of samples for analysis Routine maintenance of laboratory equipmentRoutine standardisation of laboratory equipmentMaintaining 5S within laboratoryInputting of results to LIMSCalculating bath additions during heat manufacture using LIMS and Optimat
