We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests and other work using both conventional and computerized machines and work aids. The role involves preparing and painting panels, determining chemical and physical characteristics or composition, and setting up, readjusting, and operating laboratory equipment and instruments. The position offers the chance to work in a larger team, with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with experienced chemists.

ResponsibilitiesPerform laboratory tests and work according to prescribed standards.Prepare and paint panels.Determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition.Set up, readjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.Formulate paints.Conduct documentation and data analysis.Run physical tests on paints.Conduct wet chemistry tests such as viscosity, pH, and titrations.Pour and mix paints.Essential SkillsBasic wet chemistry testing techniques.Basic lab quality check techniques.Quality control.Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Knowledge of chemicals and coatings.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegreed or non-degreed candidates considered.Highly prefer candidates with coatings background, but open to strong candidates without it.Organic Chemistry coursework is a plus.Attention to detail.Professional demeanor.Basic lab knowledge and understanding of basic lab tests.Work Environment

The Lab Technician will work in a lab setting, with standard work hours from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. No weekend work is required. The role may involve occasionally lifting paint buckets weighing up to 50 lbs.

Pay - $18 an hourLocation: Warrensville Heights, OHPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
