Laboratory Technician (Onsite) Location: Dahlgren, VA - Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) BluePath Labs is a fast-growing research and consulting company committed to solving complex problems for federal, state, and local government clients. We are actively seeking to identify a Laboratory Technician to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in conducting research, development, and testing of advanced defense technologies. Position Description: The Laboratory Technician will support for Research and Development (R&D) and Science and Technology (S&T) laboratory programs, supporting R&D, S&T, and experimentation and testing to influence system design and development for a broad spectrum of technologies. These technologies will include development and testing of prototypes and biological systems to support biological defense. Responsibilities: + Support research, development, and testing efforts to advance defense technologies. + Conduct experiments and analyze data to contribute to R&D and S&T laboratory programs. + Develop and implement test procedures and generate comprehensive test reports. + Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. + Collaborate with NSWCDD scientists to enhance quality control and optimize research methodologies. + Assist in the development and testing of prototypes and biological defense systems. + Maintain accurate documentation of laboratory processes and results. + Setting up, performing, and evaluating complex chemical, biological, and/or physical tests and experiments under the general guidance and direction of professional staff members. + Operating a wide variety of laboratory test equipment, apparatus, and methods including pipettes, immunoassay, and Polymerase Chain Reaction. + Preparing and processing experimental operations involving complex formulations, precise calibration, sampling, experimental techniques, and test concepts. + Designing test procedures and preparing test reports. Minimum Requirements: + Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited university in biology or chemistry. + Setting up, performing, and evaluating complex chemical, biological, and/or physical tests and experiments under the general guidance and direction of professional staff members. + Operating a wide variety of laboratory test equipment, apparatus, and methods including pipettes, immunoassay, and Polymerase Chain Reaction. + Preparing and processing experimental operations involving complex formulations, precise calibration, sampling, experimental techniques, and test concepts. + Designing test procedures and preparing test reports. + Conducting test data analysis using intermediate techniques and equipment. + Working in a biological or physical research facility. Desired Requirements: + Two (2) years of physical/biological/chemical science or equivalent experience, with at least one (1) year of related research laboratory experience.
