Laboratory Technician (Entry)-Clinical Dev. & Ops-R&D-CS-US
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a contract Lab Tech for our Pharmaceutical partner in St Louis MO. The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $23 and $25. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria Schedule: M-F; 8am - 5pm **Position Summary** Aligned with our client’s global strategy and business objectives, including those of Field Solutions NA, this role is responsible for managing the timely and accurate global distribution of samples to internal and external customers. These efforts support North American and global development studies, aiding in the evaluation, registration, and re-registration of our client’s products. **Position Duties & Responsibilities** + Process sample orders using the Sample Logistics Apps. + Prepare sample shipments, attach relevant Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and complete documentation. + Scan sample orders and items for packaging, finalize the shipping process in compliance with IATA and DOT regulations, and file shipping documents. + Assist with international shipments by completing documentation and communicating shipment details. + Conduct and reconcile sample inventories, including current, bulk, and GLP samples, in the Sample Logistics Apps, and prepare inventory reports using Excel. + Receive incoming packages for the Sample Logistics team and maintain accurate records for reference. + Maintain the archive of Certificates of Analysis for GLP samples. + Monitor the restricted GLP cage area to ensure compliance with GLP regulations for sample storage and security. + Sub-fill sample containers in adherence to HSE, SDS, and site safety policies, and apply FIFRA research sample labels as required. + Identify questionable test substances based on appearance and consult the Sample Logistics manager as needed. + Maintain, update, and archive SDS for the Sample Logistics Inventory, retrieving data from Global QHSE and other relevant databases. + Manage bulk inventory, ensuring proper labeling, scanning, and shelving. + Order, receive, and organize supplies for the Sample Logistics team in designated areas. + Complete Bayer training programs, including IATA and DOT certifications. + Report discrepancies in orders, computer issues, or application problems to the designated Sample Logistics lead. + Support the sample logistics team with additional duties as needed. **Requirements and Preferences** **Education Requirements:** + Associate degree or equivalent education with 0–3 years of related experience. + A degree in a Science-related field is preferred. **Skills & Competencies (Non-Negotiable):** + Experience working with pesticides and laboratory processes. + Proficiency with balances/scales and strong math skills. + Knowledge and experience with interpreting Safety Data Sheets (SDS). + Familiarity with barcode scanning systems. + Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. + Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds. **Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):** + Strong computer skills. + Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. + High level of integrity and professionalism. + Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable to change. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Pay Details:** $23.00 to $25.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
