Minimum Entrance Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have (A) one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, technical or professional experience in laboratory work within a recognized academic, research, or applied laboratory setting, such as in physics, chemistry, biomechanics, materials science, electronics, engineering, optics, environmental science, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
1. An associate degree or higher with a major in physics, chemistry, biomechanics, materials science, engineering, electronics, environmental science, or a related technical field may be substituted for the required experience.
2. The successful completion of one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, education toward a degree at a recognized medical or dental school may be substituted for the required experience.
3. The successful completion of training in a recognized school or hospital course or an American Medical Association (AMA) approved training program for laboratory technicians or medical technologists may be substituted for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Science or engineering background.
2. Experience with scientific software.
3. A working knowledge of laboratory preparation procedures.
4. Demonstrated/documented experience in making repairs to laboratory equipment.
5. Ability to learn new procedures required for work in instructional laboratories.
Working Conditions:
This is an on-site, in-person position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
