Position Description
The Laboratory Technician II will support the Rockbridge Factory Acceptance Test Lab with test setups, data collection, data processing, report generation, and technical support. The position will report to the Lab Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Lab preparation for chiller testing Lab maintenance and upgrades, such as sensor calibrations and new equipment installation Builds custom fabricated test setups, involving mechanical, electrical, controls, etc. Data collection using dedicated data acquisition hardware and LabVIEW Operates lab equipment, including chillers, boilers, fan walls, control valves, etc. Installs sensors to measure temperature, pressure, flow, electrical power, etc. Supports product engineers and the production with advanced technical guidance Supports customers during factory witness testing Communicates effectively with product engineers and production staff Organizes and manages product improvement efforts
Required Education & Qualifications
Associate Degree in technical field and 5+ years of relevant lab experience or Bachelor's in Engineering and 1+ years experience preferred Prior experience with LabVIEW and/or other DAQ systems OSHA 10 or 30 safety certified ArcFlash trained/certified Controls knowledge (Carel/Siemens/Automation Direct/RS Logic/others)
