Our Technology Center is home to a team of globally recognized engineers and scientists who provide innovative mining, processing and environmental solutions to our operations throughout the world. Our employees make use of state-of-the-art laboratories and test facilities, including a fully automated analytical lab – the first of its kind in the Americas. Employees provide direct support in a variety of areas: mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, analytical chemistry, mineralogy, process economics, mining and geology.

What You Will Do Prepare samples for analysis using appropriate techniques and performs sample preparation for quality control program. Perform routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting. Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Assist in laboratory personnel training. Perform other duties as required. What You Bring To Freeport One (1) year of direct lab experience ORAssociates related degree which includes six (6) months related lab experience Demonstrated knowledge of lab equipment, lab protocols and techniques appropriate to assigned areas. Demonstrated ability to train others in particular area of lab. Preferred Qualifications Experience (1+ years) in mineralogical or testing laboratoryFamiliarity with digestion and leaching testHigh School diploma, GED or AA DegreeExperience with mathematic and/or numbers-based tasksExperience with chemical sample preparation and/or laboratory analytical equipmentAbility to follow detailed, technical instructionsExperience with tedious or repetitive motions or tasksStrong organizational and documentation skillsStrong proficiency using MS Excel to develop and maintain spreadsheets reports, and other documentation

What We Offer You  

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $23.00 - $31.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. What We Require
