Job Title: Laboratory Technician III

Job Description

The Center for Biological Innovation (CBI) is a Center of Excellence that utilizes in vitro and ex vivo approaches such as biochemical, cell-based, microbial, and tissue-based assays to support the design, development, and commercialization of products. The successful Laboratory Technician candidate should have appropriate scientific experience to provide the technical support required for supporting in vitro biomedical research studies. This is an onsite position.

ResponsibilitiesSupporting in vitro hemocompatibility testing of blood contacting devices at the benchFollowing experimental protocols and executing tasks both independently and with guidance from team membersAssisting with preparation of data for reporting and presentationOptimizing and troubleshooting technical assaysMaintaining detailed and accurate recordsEssential Skills3 years of experience with an Associate degree in Biology or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceHands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: cell culture, hemocompatibility evaluation, immunostaining, flow cytometry, and/or microscopyAbility to quickly learn new techniques and adapt in a changing environmentExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-taskExcellent written and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team setting and on an individual basisResults and detail-orientedAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environmentsWork Environment

This position is located onsite at the Center for Biological Innovation. The role involves working in a laboratory setting with blood contacting devices and various assays. The work environment requires strict adherence to protocols and maintaining detailed records. The ability to adapt to new techniques and work both independently and collaboratively is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
