Laboratory Technician - R&D/QA

Job Summary and Mission:

This job contributes to our clients success by completing assigned projects and tasks that support successful execution of global product and equipment development initiatives and quality programs. Models and acts in accordance with the clients guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Maintains general cleanliness and orderliness of laboratories and storage areas. Develops and maintains small scale organizational and inventory systemsClearly communicates with internal and external customers Orders, tracks, and stocks supplies.Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.Plans lab and equipment utilization, maintains calendars for resource utilization. Ships, receives, and inventories experimental equipment and products.Provides administrative support, such as monitoring instrumentation and equipment calibration and maintenance programs, lab files and reports, labeling, coordinating panels and orientation. May supervise temporary lab and personnel or contractors.Sets up and executes laboratory testing. Develops and reviews protocols and methods. Collects and analyzes data. Dismantles and cleans up experiments.Stocks and tracks samples, ingredients, small wares and equipment.Calibrates and utilizes instrumentation.

Ability to self-manage, prioritize, and organize informationAbility to stand for long lengths of timeAbility to lift 50 lbsBasic equipment troubleshootingBasic plumbing & electrical experienceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamLaboratory experimentation skills including measurement, reporting and analysisAbility to use of laboratory instrumentation and analytical equipmentBasic knowledge of scientific principles, food microbiology, engineeringBasic skills in Microsoft Office suite, including OutlookAble to work on-site at least 4 days a week

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00
