Job DescriptionEurofins Donor & Product Testing is looking for a clinical laboratory technologist to assist with providing comprehensive laboratory services to meet the unique testing needs of the transplant community. Our clinical labs preform microbiology testing to determine microbial cleanliness, infectious disease and donor eligibility testing, as well Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) testing to successfully match organ transplant recipients with compatible donors. Technologist I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Following prescribed procedures, performing any of the tests within any of the laboratory specialties. Calculating the results of the tests performed in necessaryOperating, calibrating, conducting performance checks, and maintaining any laboratory analyzers or equipmentRecognizing and correcting basic analyzer malfunctions and notifying management personnel when appropriatePreparing reagents or media from a prescribed procedureEvaluating media, reagents, and calibrators according to established criteriaConducting established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products Evaluating results of quality control and implements corrective action when indicatedDetermining performance specifications for new methodsConfirming and verifying results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and analyzersMonitoring quality assurance/continuous improvement programsMonitoring safety programs in compliance with laboratory regulationsUtilizes laboratory information systems or other methods to accurately and effectively report patient resultsWriting laboratory procedures conforming to standardized formatReporting test results conforming to established proceduresQualificationsThe ideal candidate would possess:
